a lot of resources out there have people writing content with little to no bedside experience. while it’s great to get into nursing and do education without experience, it just doesn’t have the full capacity of knowledge that our writers of decades of advance nursing have. social media has a lot of creators doing a great job marketing products, but the reality is, their books are full of errors, their quality is poor, and they pay off their customers to make their review better. we would never and can’t imagine doing that. our books focus on retaining information.. not just reading it. Studies show that reading isn’t enough to store information into your short & long-term memory. Instead… we gamify it! we created activities and ways to make the learner re-write, retain, recall, and color the education in the book which makes the brain process the information in a unique, but better way. sure mnemonics are helpful… but studies also show that they are only good for the short term studying and not long term. we at rekmed feel that if you need a ‘hack’ to remember it, then we don’t think you fully understood it. that’s also why we start from the very basics, build into the assessment, then foundations, and build from there.
